This course is for anyone who wants to have knowledge of the requirements of safe working at heights as this unit covers working safely at heights in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes: identifying the work requirements; work procedures and instructions for the task; assessing and installing equipment; performing work at heights; and cleaning up the work area.


This unit is appropriate for those working in operational  roles, at worksites within:

· Civil construction

· Electricians

· Drilling

· Photovoltaic (solar) panel installation

· Metalliferous mining

On the completion of this course, participants will have learned the principles and requirements to safely work at heights. This unit specifies the competency required to undertake safe working practices when working at heights or depths.
