The Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC) was established in 1986. We are a small team of people working together to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people in our area.


The service provides information, referral, advocacy and support, SNRC are the main referral agency for Upper Hunter  Shire: if you are not sure who can help you, the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre can find someone who can.

The service continues to evolve to meet those needs and provide services and support to the target group, working with vulnerable individuals and families. 


Funded by the NSW Government Community and Justice servicesnd numerous local organisations, businesses and individuals in the local community through sponsorship and donations. The SNRC generates income through programs and services to ensure the doors remain open to always be available when needed.


OUR OBJECTIVES ARE TO: use our resources predominantly

for the purpose of relieving poverty in the Upper Hunter Shire

area of NSW in Australia by operating a food pantry, providing

parcels of food and other essential grocery items, blankets and

sanitary items to homeless people and others who cannot afford

to buy basic food, groceries and sanitary items for themselves.


Partner with existing community organisations and businesses to

coordinate and disseminate a range of community services and

goods that assist those most vulnerable people in the Upper

Hunter Shire area of NSW.
